Sound Equipment

Simplify your setup with our sound equipment.

Sound equipment (one speaker with microphone) is included to amplify the musician with backing tracks. One speaker is sufficient for small to medium events, while two are recommended for large events for better sound coverage. A second speaker can be provided for an additional $150. Sound equipment is provided for the musician only, and is not a substitute for all general or non-music amplification needs (e.g., officiant, videography).

No power? No problem. A battery-capable, large speaker can be provided to cover your event at the remote nature location while maintaining good coverage and quality sound.

Do I need amplification?

  • Backing tracks desired for a fuller performance: Yes. Applies to any of the below settings

  • Indoor event or ceremony: You may not need it if it’s a large echoey room with good acoustics

  • Outdoor event: Highly recommended

  • Loud, noisy indoor/outdoor event: Yes

  • I dress up for your event with a formal gown, unless requested otherwise. I want you to have the full special experience when hiring a live violinist.

  • Yes. To reserve your date on my calendar, there is a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This allows me to confidently decline other inquiries for the same date. Full payment is due a week before the event.

  • Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo

  • Yes:

    • If the event is outdoors, a rain contingency plan will be needed to protect instruments.

    • Hot or sunny weather will need shade or covering for musicians to protect wooden instruments from damage or ungluing.

    • I am unable to perform outside below 60 degree weather since fingers get stiff and playing quality declines as a result.

    • Armless chair for musicians.
